Welcome to Brooktoneddy
The Fall Bacchanal is our inaugural event at Brooktoneddy
Richard bought the property at auction during the pandemic and has spent the past 2 years reimagining this magical place.
Brooktoneddy is named for a big bend in the stream that conspires with the mill dam to create swirling eddies in the water and across time in circular stone holes carved into the bedrock.

The property overlooks the 1820s Breckinridge mill,
which Brooktoneddy is bringing back to life as an off grid grist mill and bakery.
The prior owners Ed & Dorothy Beuchel, lived here 69 years and they built many things here including a gazebo overlooking the mill and a Victorian swing.
The owners who sold it Jan 1, 1899 were Frederick Bates and Juanita Breckinridge Bates ; a local power couple. He was later mayor of nearby Ithaca and she was the first female ordained minister in American and first pastor in Brookton and later in life a leader of the local suffragette movement.
Brooktoneddy honors the past while bringing a fresh spirit to the property. We have assembled a motley set of vintage campers, several tied into septic and endless hotwater and others parked in beautiful natural settings. The barn has been lovingly restored into a performance space with a 30′ high ceiling, stained glass, and warm acoustics.
